We’re proud of our local restaurants and their commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients. Come and taste the difference in DTSB at all the exciting events we host.
WINE / BEER WALKS
Wine Walks are designed to allow you to sample wine and food from several different restaurants for one great price. Purchase a wristband for $40. Then walk to as many participating restaurants as you like, where you will sample three wines and a variety of foods chosen to pair with the wines. Beer Walks feature three samples of craft beer along with three accompaniments.
Most people walk, especially in good weather. However, shuttle service is available.
Keeping it local includes supporting restaurants that are locally owned and operated. Taste the difference … in ingredients sourced from the region, wine made in South Bend, craft beer brewed right here, and timeless craft cocktails. Don’t forget, it’s not just food alone—enjoy live music, First Friday events and so much more.
Restaurant Weeks are held twice a year, typically in January or February and again in late July. South Bend is home to many local restaurants and their owners proudly participate in this event, offering the opportunity to enjoy some of their most notable hand-crafted dishes on the specially priced menus. These weeks are the perfect time to sample the variety of cuisines and experiences available in downtown South Bend. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Beacon Children’s Hospital in downtown South Bend.
You’ll find delicious options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks from casual sandwiches and salads to fine dining. Most restaurants fill up quickly on the weekends and may be less busy on Monday or Tuesday. We encourage making a reservation as much in advance as possible at those restaurants that accept them so you can ensure you get to go when and where you’d like.
Participating restaurants will develop a special menu that is included in their Restaurant Week pricing, available for view on this website. Be sure to browse the menus available here, and on the restaurants’ web sites to confirm what is – and is not – included so you can ask questions of your server before ordering your meal. Remember, although the restaurants are offering discounts, your server is working just as hard as always to ensure you have a great dining experience. Please be sure to tip your servers based on the regular price of a similar meal, not on the discounted price.
